1. Who we are
Click IT ("we", "us") is a technology services company based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information we collect through our website, enquiries and services. We are committed to complying with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number, location, details of your enquiry, and any files you attach to a contact form. We also collect limited technical data through cookies and analytics - see our Cookie Policy for details.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide and manage the services you request, send service-related communications (including confirmation emails), improve our website and services, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Legal bases (GDPR visitors)
If you are located in the EU/UK, we process your personal information under the GDPR. Our legal bases are: your consent (for analytics and marketing cookies), performance of a contract (where you request services), our legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and improving our services), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share your information only with service providers we use to operate our business (such as email delivery, hosting and CRM systems), under confidentiality arrangements, and where required by law. Enquiry data may be transferred to our CRM so our team can respond. We never sell or rent your information.
6. Data storage and security
Enquiries are stored securely with access limited to our team. We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls and secure credential management. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
We keep enquiry records only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected - typically up to 7 years for business records (for tax and legal purposes) or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, non-identifying form.
8. Your rights (Privacy Act 2020)
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or request its deletion. To make a request, email us with your details and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
9. Automated decision-making and AI
Where we deploy AI-assisted tools, decisions that significantly affect you are not made solely by automated means without human review. AI features on this site (such as the Clicky guided assistant) do not collect personal information beyond what you choose to type, and that input is not used to train public models.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
